American Optometric Association defines Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) as the combination of eye and vision problem associated after computer use. In this modern era of digital world both the younger as well as older groups spend most of their time looking in front of the computer or mobile screen. Between 2011 and 2017 the population of digital users have doubled from 57% to 75% in the older age groups. However, it is not only limited to older groups, recently it is reported that younger adults aged between 20-29 years use two or more devices 87% times which include television, video games, use of tablets and computers.
The use of digital technology leads to burning, irritation, watering and dryness known as external symptoms while headache, eyestrain and eye pain are internal symptoms which are linked to accommodative and binocular vision stress.
